Beach Access Problems

There are troubled days ahead for the beach goers. As of this past year there have been several longtime public beach accesses taken from the locals and tourists making it hard for anyone to even enjoy the water. The Iron Steamer, The Sportsmans Pier, The Circle, Triple "S" Pier and the list goes on. These examples are just on Atlantic Beach and Pine Knowl Shores alone. Residents and Guests of Beaufort and Emerald Isle are also feeling the crunch on public access to the water ways and beaches. With the emphasis on 2nd family housing being such a high priority you would think there would be some planning by the towns councel, committes to make sure that alls these families that come to their towns would still have a reason to continue to come.
